Therapy
MY WAY OF WORKING
There are many ways to talk about therapy and what it can offer. For me, the most meaningful language is the language of connection. Many of the experiences people bring to therapy can be understood as forms of disconnection — from yourself, your values, your environment, or the people around you. Therapy can offer a space to explore the nature of that disconnection and, just as importantly, to experience reconnection.

I am integratively trained, which means I draw on a variety of therapeutic models and theories to tailor a bespoke approach that fits you and what you're seeking from therapy. Beyond my primary training (the person-centred, gestalt, and psychodynamic approaches), I draw on somatic and mindfulness-based practices where appropriate.
In sessions I aim to be collaborative and responsive, working together with you to attend to whatever feels most important in the moment. To this end, I may offer reflections, insights, challenges, experiments, mindfulness exercises, and invitations to explore bodily sensation. I have undertaken additional training to be able to work in a trauma-informed way - recognising the widespread impact of trauma and proactively creating a therapeutic space that prioritises safety, choice, and trust.
I have extensive experience working with a wide range of experiences such as:

-
Anxiety and depression
-
Self-esteem and self-concept challenges
-
Phobias
-
Panic attacks
-
Neurodivergence and related diagnoses
-
Personality disorder and related diagnoses
-
Bereavement
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Career challenges
-
Burn out and chronic
-
Recent and historic trauma
-
Sex and intimacy concerns
-
Existential worries, malaise, and ennui

This is not an exhaustive list and if you're left wondering whether we'd be able to work together, my suggestion would be to get in touch as I'm always happy to chat.
I'm confident that over time our work together will allow you to experiment with new ways of relating to yourself, your experiences, your relationships, and your environment. This often leads to change that previously felt impossible, opening the door to a new way of being that feels more authentic, satisfying, and connected.

PRACTICALITIES
I offer weekly 50-minute sessions and can meet in-person (near White Ladies Road), online, or by telephone. I offer both short-term and open-ended slots. Feel free to get in touch for my current availability.
GETTING STARTED
I usually suggest people get in touch via email to arrange an initial call. There's no pressure to continue after the call and it's important you find the right therapist. Beginning therapy can be a daunting process, so please feel free to bring any questions you have and I will answer them as fully and transparently as possible.
FEES
I charge a standard fee of £50 per session. I am happy to make payment arrangements (e.g. monthly) that suit you. I have a limited number of discounted rate spaces - if cost is a barrier to you accessing therapy, please get in touch to ask about this option.
